The Sailboat

1982 Canadian Sailcraft CS-36T

Mary Waters is not only the name of my sailboat—it’s a play on words for the sea. But even more profound than either, it was my maternal grandmother’s name—my mother’s mother!

It definitely works!

She is a Canadian-designed racer-cruiser that combines refined handling with robust durability for challenging conditions. She is a 36.5-foot masthead sloop with a fin keel and a rudder on a partial skeg. A shoal draft of 4.92 feet allows for cruising in shallower waters.
